Apartment information
The Multatuli apartment is a stylish, light and spacious apartment, located in the Jordaan, Amsterdam's hippest neighbourhood. Full of history, the house was built around 1790 and is a national monument. In the 1820s it was home to the young Multatuli, Holland's most famous author. Totally renovated in 2007, the house has retained its historical details, yet offers every modern comfort and convenience.
The spacious living room is on the first level with a large open kitchen and dining area. On the second level there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has an original wooden floor with three large windows overlooking the street. The shower room is next door. The second bedroom is located at the back of the house, with an ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom is in the attic. It has the possibility to sleep up to 4 people with two beds and two sofabeds. The apartment is the top half of the house, accessed through its own front door and up two flights of stairs.
