Historical Background

Built in 1923, Hillehof was at the time the largest school complex in Rotterdam, covering approximately 6,000 m². Designed by architects Walter Dahlen and Ad van der Steur, the complex was part of their contribution to several schools in Rotterdam, including the Bergsingel school and the Maritime School.

The building originally housed three schools and included classrooms, a gymnasium, a bathhouse, two staff residences, and a covered children's playground.

Vreewijk is renowned for its unique urban planning and architectural character and is one of Rotterdam's historic garden-city neighbourhoods. It was one of the first garden-city developments in the Netherlands, designed in the early 20th century.

The Zuidplein shopping centre, with its wide range of shops and amenities, is just around the corner. The metro station at Zuidplein provides a direct connection to Rotterdam Central Station and the city centre, which can be reached in approximately 10 minutes. The apartment is also conveniently located near major motorways, including the A15 and A16, as well as several bus stops within walking distance.

Layout

You enter the apartment through its private entrance and arrive in the hallway. The first bedroom is located directly off the hallway. From here, you continue into the spacious living room.

The modern kitchen is located on the right-hand side of the living room and is fully equipped with everything you need, including a combination microwave oven and dishwasher.
