About the project
In the Groenoord neighborhood of Schiedam, we offer a temporary rental project with apartments at Chopinplein, Griegplein, and Sibeliusplein. The homes are located in characteristic residential complexes from the 1960s and 1970s, known for their spacious layout, plenty of greenery, and practical design. Groenoord is a quiet and green residential area with wide avenues, mature trees, and plenty of space between buildings. From the apartments, you overlook the green surroundings and live within a short distance from daily amenities.
In the immediate vicinity is the Hof van Spaland shopping center, which features various supermarkets, shops, and dining options. Schools, sports facilities, and parks are also nearby.
Accessibility is good. Metro station Troelstralaan and tram connections toward Rotterdam and Vlaardingen are within short distance. Moreover, the A20 and A4 motorways are easily reachable, making traveling towards Rotterdam, Delft, and The Hague simple.
About the apartments
The homes are practically laid out and have one, three, or four bedrooms, a balcony, a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and sink, a separate toilet, and a personal storage space on the ground floor. The apartments offer comfortable living space in a green and spacious residential environment.
Note: Temporary rental
The homes in this project are exclusively available for temporary rental. This means that the rental agreement has a predetermined duration and automatically ends after a maximum of 24 months.

These homes are intended for two specific target groups.
Target group 1 - Students
Students who want to temporarily live in another municipality within the Netherlands for their studies, or international students studying in the Netherlands.
Conditions:

• Maximum rental period: 24 months
• Maximum of 2 students allowed per apartment
• Deposit: two months' rent
• Guarantor required, for example a parent or guardian
• Income assessment: at least 1.5 × the monthly rent = gross total income per month
• Proof of enrollment at an educational institution required
• Backup address required for after the rental period

Target group 2 - Divorced parents
Individuals with one or more minor children who are no longer living together with the other parent and want to live temporarily near their children.
Conditions:

• Maximum rental period: 24 months
• Income assessment: at least 3 × the monthly rent = gross total income per month
• Deposit: two months' rent
• Tenant declares that the minor children have their primary residence at another address and will remain registered there during the rental period
• Backup address required for after the rental period
• Important to know
• The temporary rental agreement ends automatically on the agreed end date. Extension is not possible.
• Candidates who do not fall within one of the above target groups unfortunately do not qualify for these homes.
