INCOME CRITERIA
To qualify for this rental property, the landlord sets some income requirements. These are as follows:
- In the case of 1 income, your income must be at least 3.5 times the rent. Any fixed allowances such as vacation pay, year-end bonuses, etc. can be included;
- In the case of 2 incomes (yours and your partner's), the lowest income can count for 50%. The highest income can be fully included. The total must also be at least 3 times the rent;
- When employed, you must have at least a fixed-term employment contract (one-year contract with an intention declaration) or a permanent contract. Zero-hour, temporary agency, or flexible contracts are not included;
- If you are retired, the sum of AOW and any net pension must be at least 3.5 times the rent;
- If you are a freelancer, self-employed or director-major shareholder (DGA), you must demonstrably have a taxable net profit of at least 4 times the rent. You also need to have been a business owner for at least one full financial year;
In addition to the income requirements, the following rental conditions apply:
- The minimum rental period is 12 months. Thereafter, the rental agreement can be terminated on the first of the following month +1 month;
