You can do your daily shopping around the corner on Van Limburg Stirumstraat, and there is a market in Westerpark every first Sunday of the month. Public transportation is excellent with tram and bus connections, making various parts of Amsterdam easily accessible. The A10 ring road is also a 5-minute drive away.
