The apartment building “Amices” has been realized in a former office building at Dorpsstraat no. 10 in Bleiswijk for rental to seniors, with the intention that the homes are used by former residents of Bleiswijk, or persons with a connection to Bleiswijk. There are 4 apartments in the building. All apartments have an outdoor space. There is an elevator in the building. The homes are equipped with kitchens, bathrooms, floor covering (PVC), and lighting fixtures, with the exception of the living rooms. The apartments have mechanical ventilation. All apartments have opening windows and/or ventilation grilles in the glazing. The homes vary in size from approximately 66 to approximately 80 m2.

The starting point for the rental is to unburden the tenant as much as possible; in that light, the aim is also to create a community of seniors in the apartment building, partly through a shared background and life stage, with attention and care for each other.

The spacious apartments are intended for one- or two-person households, without children. The apartments are all low-maintenance, sustainable, gas-free, and energy-efficient. Both in terms of energy loss and sound transmission, they are heavily insulated. The homes are equipped with approximately 90 solar panels and batteries to store the generated electricity.

Each apartment has a storage room on the ground floor; in addition, there is a communal laundry and drying room available, in which two washing machines and two dryers have been placed, which are exclusively intended for the residents of the apartment building. The costs of using the aforementioned machines are settled via a payment system located in the laundry room. A bank card is required for this.

The landlord intends, if there is sufficient interest from the tenants, to place an electric shared car in the parking lot at the apartment building. This shared car will be exclusively for the use of the tenants of the apartments. The costs of using the shared car must also be paid via a payment system for which a bank card is required.

A maximum of one dog or a maximum of two cats are allowed per home. Dogs must always be on a leash in and around the apartment building, and cats are not allowed to roam freely outside the rented apartment.

Due to insurance requirements, it is not permitted to place electric bicycles in the storage rooms; for these bicycles, there is a lockable bicycle shed with the necessary connections to charge the batteries.

The rent is € 1,575 per month. Service costs (lighting of common areas, elevator maintenance, water consumption, garden maintenance) are not charged to the tenants. However, electricity is mandatory charged at favorable conditions (up to 5000 kWh € 150, above that the standard rate of Vattenfall is calculated).
