Background of ‘HET GRIFTHOF’
The fifteen apartments are built on the Grift. The municipality of Apeldoorn has paid a lot of attention to this area in recent years. For example, the old V&D building has been completely renovated, a beautiful beer tasting venue has been established next to ‘HET GRIFTHOF’, and many new restaurants have opened. The new apartments are located behind an important historical building that housed the Salvation Army until a few years ago. In collaboration with the municipality of Apeldoorn, work is currently underway to complete a façade reconstruction from 1894 featuring characteristic round brick lanterns that were used as beacons for the Salvation Army at that time.
