Guest Accommodation V is the largest of the five guest accommodations. It is comfortably furnished and furnished, spread over three floors; part of an impressive farmhouse on Dorpsweg in Hoornaar. The upper floors offer views of the De Donk natural pool and a riding school.

Layout: gravel path to the left of the farmhouse, leading to the rear of the house, front courtyard (parking), entrance, reception room with coat closet, and a floating paved toilet with a small sink.

The spacious living room features recessed and surface-mounted lighting, anthracite natural stone flooring, a three-seater sofa, an armchair, and two patio doors leading to the terrace with garden furniture. A round dining table with matching chairs is also available.

Open-plan kitchen with a clouded natural stone countertop, ceramic hob with a round extractor fan, robust sink unit with mixer tap, surface-mounted lighting, dishwasher, and drawer units. A window overlooks the front courtyard, and the built-in refrigerator and freezer are located in the corner.

From the living room, an open staircase leads to the first floor, which features laminate flooring and a central landing.

Immediately to the left is the comfortable, spacious bathroom with recessed ceiling lighting, a whirlpool tub with thermostatic tap and hand shower, a double basin with mixer taps, a spacious walk-in shower with recessed ceiling lighting, a thermostatic tap, a towel radiator, and a robust mirror. There is a separate second wall-mounted toilet with a small sink.

The first bedroom features two skylights with a blackout curtain above the double bed, a built-in wardrobe, and an antique desk and chair.

Stairs to the attic with the washing machine and dryer on the landing, a second attic bedroom with a pine single bed, and a third attic bedroom with a single bed.

Tenant profile: one or two company employees or private single- or dual-income households who need temporary accommodation due to home renovations or are waiting for their purchased property. Pets and smoking are not permitted in the rental property.

A credit check is part of the procedure. There is an income requirement. Registration with the municipality is not permitted. The tourist tax imposed by the municipality is the tenant's responsibility.

The advance payment for gas, electricity, and water is €200 per month.

The name Hoornaar comes from Hornedamme. Hoorn and Horn always refer to a bend, either in an old road or in a body of water. Long ago, the Linge River ran behind Hoogblokland and flowed into the Giessen. A dam was built there, and a settlement gradually developed.

It's certainly worth mentioning that Hoornaar has its own supermarket for daily groceries and a weekly market. The region offers plenty to enjoy. Discover nature, unwind in the floodplains, cycle past centuries-old farms, hike along tithe roads, horseback ride, and canoe in a ditch or stream: all of this is possible in this quintessential Dutch peat meadow landscape. You can also admire the area and its sights during a boat trip on the picturesque Giessen River or from a horse-drawn tram or covered wagon. There's so much to experience in the Alblasserwaard and Vijfheerenlanden that one day is never enough to see it all.
