As you step through the inviting entryway, you’ll notice it right away: the spaciousness, the high-quality finishes, and the warm atmosphere instantly make you feel welcome. The spacious living-dining-kitchen area forms the heart of the home. In the morning, this is the ideal spot to start your day in peace with a cup of coffee and the newspaper at the dining table. Throughout the day, the kitchen transforms into a delightful living space where you can cook, work, laugh, and enjoy life. The stylish design, the well-thought-out layout, and the full range of modern built-in appliances make this kitchen truly complete. The practical utility room with laundry area features its own back entrance on the street side, ideal for daily use and added convenience. One floor up is the cozy living room with a fireplace and underfloor heating, a wonderful place to unwind after a long day with a good book, a glass of wine, or simply doing nothing at all. French doors lead out to the terrace, which is connected to the lower garden by a staircase. It’s a green, cozy, and sheltered spot where peace and privacy take center stage.

There are two bedrooms on the sleeping floor. The spacious master bedroom at the rear of the home feels like a peaceful cocoon and features a built-in closet. In addition, there is an extra bedroom and a lovely study/office, ideal for working from home. The bathroom is cosy designed and features a walk-in shower, toilet, and vanity. Here, too, the beautiful details that make this home so special are beautifully reflected. As the absolute icing on the cake, the home boasts a stunning rooftop terrace with a built-in barbecue. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy long summer evenings with friends, delicious meals, and a good glass of wine well into the night.

What makes this place even more special is everything around it. The bakery, butcher, and greengrocer are literally just around the corner. Stroll past the local shops, dine at cozy restaurants, or raise a glass on a summer evening at one of the outdoor patios. The weekly market offers fresh produce and flowers, and for a lovely walk, you can head straight to the Hollandse IJssel River. Oudewater combines the best of both worlds: tranquility, charm, and a small-town feel, with major cities within easy reach. Utrecht, The Hague, and Rotterdam are all about a 35-minute drive away. Public transportation is also convenient, with a direct bus to Gouda and Utrecht every half hour.

In short: this isn’t your typical rental property, but a special place for anyone looking for a comfortable temporary home between moves, a peaceful retreat after a busy period, or a pleasant base during a work assignment. It’s a temporary place that feels like a warm home, exactly when you need it.
