The neighborhood:
Katendrecht, better known as De Kaap among many Rotterdammers, is a popular peninsula located between Maashaven and Rijnhaven in Rotterdam. The Walhalla theater, Deliplein, SS Rotterdam, and Wilhelminapier are all just a stone's throw from the house. You can do your grocery shopping at the Jumbo supermarket or go to the Fenix Food Factory for fresh, artisanal products.

Parking:
You can easily park in your own parking space in the secured inner courtyard. When you receive visitors, apply for the visitor parking permit. This allows your visitors to park at a reduced rate all over Katendrecht.

Public transport facilities:
On Kaap, the bus line 77 shuttles between Zuidplein and ss Rotterdam. The bus stop SS Rotterdam is a 2-minute walk from the house. The bus also stops at metro station Rijnhaven (7 minutes), which gives you a direct metro connection to Rotterdam Beurs (4 minutes), Rotterdam Centraal (8 minutes), and The Hague. You can also quickly reach the Wilhelminaplein metro station via the Rijnhaven bridge and be at Coolsingel in 15 minutes by bike. Want to travel in a different way? Then you can also get quite far in Rotterdam with the water taxi or waterbus! The Waterbus departs every half hour from ss Rotterdam and brings you directly across the water (5 minutes), Kinderdijk, or Heijplaat.
