Escher, the central staircase even served as the inspiration for his most famous drawings.

The building is located on Schoolstraat in the national protected cityscape of Spijkerkwartier. This neighborhood is characterized by the presence of many monumental buildings, including the “Brussels houses” located in the adjacent Spijkerstraat. The neighborhood borders the center of Arnhem.
