Some history
Living in a Municipal Historic Landmark in the Amsterdam School architectural style, built in 1923: Huize Parkwijk. One of the first freestanding apartment buildings in the Netherlands, though not yet a high-rise. The client was the Amsterdam Society for the Development of Multi-Story Housing, a company founded by architect Warners. Residents did not purchase an apartment—horizontal property ownership was not yet permitted at the time—but rather a share in the Society.
