You share one apartment with the main-tenant.

You will have 1 living/bedroom of 16 m², which includes a sink for washing dishes and a gas stove for preparing meals.

Furniture is optional and provided free of charge on loan. You can bring your own.

Cleaning and maintenance of the inventory plus indoor painting are the tenant’s responsibility.

You will agree with the main tenant on which share of the housing costs you will pay.

You CANNOT apply for housing allowance.

· You are NOT renting a self-contained unit = room with its own toilet + its own shower/bathroom + its own kitchen.

This 16 m² room on the third floor is part of an apartment with bathroom facilities on two floors.
On the 1st floor there are 3 additional bathrooms + the shared kitchen.

You sleep on the 3rd floor with a 4th bathroom and a second washing machine + a roof terrace.

The current main tenant uses the second bedroom on the 3rd floor. She has lived here since 2018.

She is a young woman who speaks English, Greek, and limited Dutch.

Candidates who meet the criteria will have an introductory meeting with her on Monday, 24 November.

She handles the pre-selection and will introduce to the owner the candidates she considers suitable to share the bathroom on the 3rd floor, as well as the additional facilities on the 1st floor.

The co-tenant on the 1st floor must also give approval, as you may use the bathroom facilities and equipment on the 1st floor when those on the 3rd floor are occupied (in use).

Residents are never allowed to have appliances in their rooms on the 1st floor for heating or preparing meals. This is explicitly prohibited by law. They may only cook in the shared kitchen.

In your living/bedroom you have the comfort of an additional sink for washing dishes, and you are allowed to use appliances for cooking.
This is permitted because there is only one bathroom on the 3rd floor and a maximum of two co-tenants living there.

You must clean your own room at least once a week. You do not smoke or vape.

Your room has a lock for privacy, but co-tenants have the contractual right and obligation to enter all rooms in the apartment for inspection.

This is not room renting.
