- If you are retired, the total of AOW and any net pension must be at least 3.5x the rent;
- If you are self-employed, independent entrepreneur, or director-majority shareholder, you must demonstrate a net profit before tax of at least 4x the rent. You must also have been an entrepreneur for at least one full fiscal year;
- If you have a benefit and it is a guaranteed/fixed income, this may be added to your total gross income.

In addition to the income requirements, the following rental conditions apply:
- The minimum rental period is 12 months. After that, the rental agreement can be terminated on the first of the following month +1 month;
