This generous family home of approximately 189 m² offers no fewer than five bedrooms, a bright open-plan kitchen, an internal garage with private driveway and a surprisingly deep back garden. A home that adapts to every stage of life, in a water-rich village where both nature and the city are within easy reach.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Landsmeer is a characteristic ribbon village in Waterland, set between the Ilperveld nature reserve and the Het Twiske recreation area. It is a popular choice for families seeking the space and calm of the countryside without giving up the city — Amsterdam is just eight kilometres away.
The Zuiderzeelaan sits in a quiet, well-laid-out residential area, made up mainly of spacious family homes with a green, child-friendly character.
- Shops and supermarkets: the Landsmeer shopping centre on the Dorpsstraat is compact and complete, with an Albert Heijn supermarket and free parking; a second Albert Heijn can be found on the IJdoornlaan.
- Schools and childcare: several primary schools in the village, including Montessori Landsmeer a short distance away.
- Parks and green space: the Het Twiske recreation area (650 hectares with small beaches, swimming water, walking and cycling paths) and the protected Ilperveld peat-meadow reserve are right on your doorstep.
- Public transport and accessibility: R-net express bus 319 takes you from Landsmeer Centrum to Amsterdam Noord metro station in around fifteen minutes, where the North/South metro line (line 52) brings you to Amsterdam Central Station in roughly ten minutes. By car you are quickly on the through-roads towards Amsterdam-Noord and the A10 ring road.
LAYOUT
Ground floor
Entrance into the hallway with meter cupboard, coat closet and separate toilet. At the front lies the bright living room (approximately 33 m²) with large windows. Adjoining it is the spacious open-plan kitchen (approximately 25 m²) with built-in appliances, connected directly to the back garden through French doors — cooking, dining and outdoor living flow effortlessly into one another. This floor also features a practical storage room and the internal garage (approximately 20 m²) with private driveway.
First floor
Landing giving access to three bedrooms of approximately 17, 13 and 11 m² respectively. The full bathroom (approximately 7 m²) is fitted with a bathtub, walk-in shower and double washbasin. There is also a separate second toilet and a built-in closet.
Second floor
Via the landing you reach the generous, open attic floor. It offers plenty of space and is currently arranged with a sleeping area and a workspace — together providing around 33 m² of additional living space under the roof. Here you will also find the utility/storage room with connections for a washing machine and dryer, plus ample storage under the sloping roof.
OUTDOOR SPACE
The spacious back garden is a real surprise: laid out alongside the water, with a terrace directly off the kitchen, a generous lawn and mature planting, plus rear access for added convenience. Plenty of room for children to play, for gardening, or for dining outdoors on a summer evening.

HISTORY
The Zuiderzeelaan takes its name from the former Zuiderzee, the inland sea that bordered Waterland and Landsmeer for centuries, until it was closed off by the Afsluitdijk dam in 1932 and became today's IJsselmeer lake. Landsmeer itself is a centuries-old peat-reclamation village, formed as a long ribbon along the water — a character still tangible in the watery landscape surrounding the village.
